Searchable Confirmation Database

You can search the Galloping Gobbler confirmation database by name to find out your bib number.

Just click here.

Please know that any data issues can be taken care of tonight at packet pick-up or tomorrow before the start of the race by seeing the Timing and Data personnel.

Who are they? Those would be the folks from Everal Race Timing hunched over the computers at the back of the Hutzell Center.

Cheesecake at the Gobbler

Cheesecake at the Gobbler!

Support the St Francis cross-country and track and field programs by ordering a delicious artisan made cheesecake for pick-up at the Galloping Gobbler Packet Pick-up on Wednesday night (5:45 PM to 8 PM) at the Hutzell Center.

Baked by Wabash's Big Brick House Bakery with all natural ingredients - you may reserve a plain, chocolate swirl or plain sugar free - for pick up Wednesday. A limited number may be available without reservation, too.

Just email "MitchVHarper@gmail.com" with "Cheesecake" in the subject line. Then indicate your preference and name in the text. Limited to the first 50 responding. Price is $25 and all net proceeds support St Francis athletes.

This idea was borrowed from a Thanksgiving Day race held in Ohio. The cheesecake will be frozen for use whenever you would like but we know most folks will thaw it for consumption at the Thanksgiving table.

Family Registration Discount Now Enabled in Online Registration

The Galloping Gobbler has worked with our on-line registration provider to enable the family registration discount for 2010.

Families registering three or more runners get a $2 discount off registration. Go to online registration and it should direct you on how to register 3 or more persons for the discount. Just like mailing in all registrations together, the online registration option for 3 or more requires it to be done in one registration.

We thought this feature would only be available next year, but we worked with the on-line provider to facilitate for the remainder of the 2010 registration season.

This will help ensure the accuracy of your registration information by eliminating transcription errors possible with the mail-in applications.

Packet Pick Up, Parking and More

Packet pick up will be at the Hutzell Athletic Center on the campus of the University of St. Francis on Wednesday evening from approximately 5:45 PM to 8 PM.

You may also pick up your packet race morning. Your bib is your timing chip. That is, the Gobbler was the first to offer D-Tag timing last year - this year, we are putting the RFID tag ON the bib. This should save some time and make packet pick up even smoother than last year.

Please give our volunteers a little breathing room Wednesday night, if you can. Arriving after 6:15 PM will help us to keep the flow moving.

Also, be thinking about parking on race morning. It appears that the Galloping Gobbler will be serving in excess of 2,000 runners. You may park near Hutzell early, but think about parking at the North Campus building off Spring Street or the football parking near Lindenwood Avenue and Spring. It is an easy walk to the Hutzell center from those parking areas.

One other item to start thinking about: due to the large number of participants, runners will be finishing on Leesburg Road. So, you will NOT be able to exit Leesburg after the race and head south. You may want to start looking at the map and seeing how you will leave the campus after the race by utilizing Spring Street!
